Yoga

Let’s talk about our very own treasure today. Many of you are reading my blogs regularly, and with an increasing demand and suggestion for all my fans I am dedicating this blog.

Yoga in simple words can be described as a subtle science which creates harmony between mind and body. It’s the true and ancient art and science of healthy mind and body, and a better way to maintain healthy life style. The word Yoga is derived from the original Sanskrit word YUJ which means Union or unite.

Now a very common question is when and where the birth of yoga took place. Over 5000 years ago in Northern India during the period of Indus- Civilization the birth of Yoga took place. We find the word yoga in Rig Veda the oldest sacred texts.

To maintain a healthy body we need various factors like, proper physical postures, proper breathing sufficient rest and relaxation, as well as meditation, positive thinking and balance diet. Yoga is a system which includes all these factors at a glance.

Yoga is adaptable and can be adapted by any religion or caste. A person with normal health of any age can also perform Yoga. Only people who are having issues like nerve damage, strokes, high blood pressure, glaucoma its risky with certain postures, not all is risky. The only thing I would mention here is they should perform under the guidance of a certified yoga trainer, avoid doing things online.
